Humpback whale season in Banderas Bay

Every winter humpbacks migrate into the bay to breed and calve, and they are regularly visible from the deck — breaching, tail-slapping, sometimes surfacing close enough that the whole boat goes quiet. Our captain knows where they tend to gather and will take you there.

Whales are wild animals, so we never guarantee a sighting — but December through March, most charters see them. Winter dates are also our busiest, so book early.

Dates Book Fast

Weekends and holidays strictly book out weeks in advance. We run one boat — when a date is gone, it’s gone. Requesting a date costs nothing and holds your 25% promo rate while we confirm.

Fair Weather Guarantee

If the port closes or a storm rolls in, you get a full refund or a free reschedule — your call. Light rain in Vallarta is normal and we still sail.

Zero Hidden Fees

IVA and the marina fee are already included in every price on this page. A 20% deposit holds the date, the balance is paid in cash (MXN) at boarding. No dock fees, no fuel surcharge, no surprise “taxes” at the marina.

Crew Gratuity

Not included and never automatic. If the crew makes your day, tipping is customary and deeply appreciated.

Booking took one WhatsApp message and they came back the same afternoon with the date held. The crew had snorkel gear out before we'd finished anchoring at Majahuitas, and the water there is clearer than anything we saw from shore all week. Our kids did not want to get back on the boat.

We brought our own drinks and food and basically handed the whole lot over at the dock. The bartender kept the trays coming and cleared everything without anyone asking. Fourteen of us and nobody queued for a drink once — try that on a party cruise.

We priced three other yacht rentals in Vallarta and this was the only one where the entire boat was ours for less than a per-seat ticket somewhere else. Spent the afternoon swapping between the paddleboards and the shade at the back. No crowd, no schedule, no one rushing us.
